Galicia e-Commerce Leveraging Centre

The Galicia Leveraging Centre is born with the aim of promoting and giving support to galician SME's (Small and Medium Entreprises), in order to take advantage of new technologies and Internet and start e-commerce processes.
The general goals of the Galicia Leveraging Centre are: - Analisys of the situation regarding ICT and e-commerce issues in the galician SME´s.
- Organize e-commerce courses and conferences for SME's.
- Give technical support to SMES with e-commerce initiatives (B2B, B2C, etc.).
- Promote e-commerce and new technologies in Galicia with communication and dissemination activities.
Galicia´s Leveraging Centre is born under the IST programme umbrella and is part of the european project e-MINDER: the Electronic Commerce Leveraging Network for Developing European Regions.
The Leveraging Centre is managed by Department of Innovation, of Industry and Commerce of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.es) and supported by the Galicia Supercomputing Centre (www.cesga.es). Also, the Centre has a narrow connection with the Foro si-Galicia (Forum for the Extension of the Information Society and e-commerce).
Also, the University of Santiago de Compostela (www.usc.es) and the University of Coruņa (www.udc.es) participate in the Galicia Leveraging Centre through the e-MINDER project.
